I did however take some video movies of the rockets taking off. Slow motion has been added at the editing stage so appears rather jerky, but does at least show what is going on. Link below to movie.
The plan of my first rocket. I made the mistake of painting it black. On the first flight the parachute did not open. It is still somewhere in the heather on Ilkley Moor. The next one was painted yellow.
As part of my enforced early retirement plans I decided to have a go at making model rockets. Fortunately time failed to hang on my hands. This meant I did not get as involved as I expected. However I did manage to design and make a few using the Estes pack.
